In July 2018 the BTHA hosted a FREE seminar providing guidance on the new Code of Practice (PAS 7100) for product safety related recalls and other corrective actions in the UK. This is an unrivalled opportunity to learn about the latest recall guidelines and gain tips and advice from experts on how to adopt them into your company processes.

The seminar outlined the PAS 7100 requirements for the preparation of a Product Safety Incident Plan (PSIP) and subjects covered will include the monitoring of the safety of products, investigation of potential product safety issues, risk assessments and corrective action procedures (including recall). The seminar will also cover subjects such as internal and external communications and engagement with enforcement authorities.

The event took place between 10.00-15:15 on the 19th April at the BTHA office by London Bridge, and was hosted by BTHA safety experts Wendy Phillips and Jerry Burnie. Guest speakers included Phil Owen, Assistant Director of the Office for Product Standards and Safety who provided an OPSS perspective in the PAS and David Bolton from the British Retail Consortium provided a retail perspective.

This seminar was targeted at product safety specialists but was open to those who feel this would be useful for them to be briefed on. Spaces were offered on a first come first served basis.
