Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) Fact Sheet
The original 2006 Act was revised in 2013 to introduce a requirement for all companies listed on the stock exchange to report on their green house gas emissions (commonly referred to as mandatory green house gas reporting), The latest revisions made in 2018 amend the requirements for reporting green house gas emissions for quoted companies. They also introduce new requirements for large unquoted companies and limited liability partnerships, who have not previously been required to report on carbon
emissions.
