Members’ attention is drawn to a special note commissioned from DLA Piper, the BTHA’s lawyers.
The note gives very useful guidance for members on the tricky subject of termination clauses in supply contracts and so-called retention of title clauses between members and customers in light of the legislation enacted by the Government last year (the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020).

Members are reminded that as a benefit of membership they can arrange to talk with DLA Piper for 15 minutes of free advice on a topic by contacting Matthew Duncombe, our central Partner at DLA Piper initially by email (Matt.Duncombe@dlapiper.com). If members wish to discuss a related piece of further legal work on this or other subjects, please do contact Matt to discuss this. DLA Piper have been the Association’s lawyers for many years through their Leeds office.
