Playsafe Competition
"A competition inviting children to design a safe toy"
Thank you for your interest in the Trading Standards Institute’s (TSI) Playsafe project. The project has been designed by the TSI in conjunction with the British Toy & Hobby Association to encourage greater awareness of safety features in the design of Toys. The Project is part of the TSI’s Young Consumers initiative, a competition designed to interest young people in consumer affairs and to raise their awareness of consumer issues and aspects of the world of work.
’Playsafe’ provides a vehicle not only for worthwhile study information, but also for the opportunity for innovative individual or “team” project work in a classroom situation.
To enter the competition you will need to download the Competition Details file.
We strongly advise that you also download the Toy Safety file.
Of course, you are welcome to download the other Background Material files for your interest.
Downloading all files can take around an hour with a standard 56k modem connection.
All designs should be sent to Lou Thomas at LTA Communications, 156 Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY8 3PD and should arrive no later than 1st June 2008.
