The British Toy & Hobby Association produces a directory of most manufacturers and suppliers of toys, together with who produces what toys, plus many other useful addresses and information.

Toy museums are dotted all over Britain and can sometimes help. The main museums include the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood, Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9PA, and the Museum of Childhood, 42 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1TG.
