The BTHA was founded in 1944 to represent UK toy manufacturers. Today there are 140 members of the association that account for approximately 90% of the toys sold in the UK. Members sign up to a strict Code of Practice that follows, and in some instances goes beyond, UK legislation.
|MAKE TIME 2 PLAY|
The BTHA runs an awareness and information campaign promoting the importance of play for healthy child development – Make Time 2 Play. The campaign provides free play ideas through a mobile app and resources of information and for discussion online and on social networks. Visit www.maketime2play.co.uk or contact Natasha Crookes or Kerri Atherton for further details.
|TOY INDUSTRY AWARDS|
The Toy Fair is run by the British Toy & Hobby Association. It is a trade only event and the ONLY dedicated toy industry exhibition in the UK. More information can be found on the Toy Fair website.
The Toy Fair takes place the last Tuesday to Thursday every January at Olympia, West London. The official press day takes place on the first day of the fair, although media are invited to attend across any of the three show dates.
