All BTHA members were invited to a unique opportunity to attend a seminar on the new chemical requirements within the Toy Safety Directive which took place in September 2012 at BMA House, London.

The seminar was led by members of the BTHA Technical Committee, with representation from the European Commission.

To encourage ongoing relations between BTHA members and their local Trading Standards Officers, tickets were also made available for TSOs to be in attendance.
During the seminar the BTHA and Bureau Veritas  introduced a brand new ‘Chemical Toolkit’ which has been created by the BTHA in association with Bureau Veritas exclusively for BTHA members. The toolkit will provide an easy to use on-screen industry toolkit for material checks.

Representatives from Bureau Veritas and the BTHA Technical Committee introduced this new service and the day finished with a ‘surgery session’ for members to put questions to the experts.
