The Trading Standards Institute's (TSI) Playsafe project has been designed by the TSI in conjunction with the British Toy & Hobby Association to encourage greater awareness of safety features in the design of toys.

The project is part of the TSI's young consumers initiative, a competition designed to interest young people in consumer affairs and to raise their awareness of consumer issues and aspects of the world of work.

'Playsafe' provides a vehicle not only for worthwhile study information, but also for the opportunity for innovative individual or "team" project work in a classroom situation.
